Click here to read all my posts regarding this variety of pea.
It has now been 3 weeks since I planted my Burpeeana Early shelling peas. It took quite a while for them to germinate. We had several days with below 32 degree mornings, so I think that slowed down the process. But now the peas are up with their bright green leaves and I am starting to see a little tendrils that will eventually grab on to the mesh netting I have surrounding them. Important now to make sure they have the water they need and to keep those pesky weeds away.
