Jelly Belly Green Apple Green Apple is one of my wife’s favorite flavors of soda pop. So when choosing which flavors I was going to buy from the new Jelly Belly gourmet soda line, I picked the green apple. This soda contains only natural flavors and is sweetened with cane sugar. For a good green apple soda, you expect a nice apple flavor with some tartness to it. So did Jelly Belly accomplish that?

2stars Not even close. My wife disliked it so much she couldn’t even finish the bottle. When I tried it, the first thing I noticed was that it smelled more like fruit punch. Upon tasting it, it tasted more like fruit punch, but with a little hint of tartness. I really don’t think the flavor was all that bad, expect that it didn’t taste like green apple should. If you would have labeled the bottle slightly sour punch, I would have totally believed it. I have only got to try two of the Jelly Belly flavored soda and so far it’s 0 for 2. If you want a better green apple carbonated experience try the Jones version.
