You don't find a lot of straight raspberry soda pops on the market. But for the second day in a row I will be reviewing a carbonated raspberry drink. This soda comes labeled as a "northwest natural". Orca Beverages is housed in Mukilteo, WA, hence why this is a Cascade Raspberry. They say their sodas are "refreshing beverages with the taste of real fruit.". The ingredient list does list fruit on it, but it's not raspberry. The contents of the bottle are: carbonated water, fructose and/or sugar, white grape concentrate, grape extract, natural flavors, citric acid, sodium benzoate.
This is a pretty good raspberry soda. It has a strong enough flavor that isn't overwhelmed by the carbonation. I couldn't really taste the grape juice that was in this, it was just their to add some natural sweetness. Thus this drink is not overly sweet. It doesn't taste as authentic as HOTLIPS Raspberry but I like it a lot better than the raspberry soda I have gotten at Whole Foods under the 365 brand.
Where to Buy
I got mine through the Old 52 General Store's online store. They also carry Orca Yakima Black Cherry as well as over 300 other flavors of glass bottled soda. Their physical store is located in Sabin, Minnesota.
