This is part of a series of posts on juices and unique drinks that I have come across. Everyone knows the Pepsis and Cokes of this world and many sites cover the wines and beers, but I am bringing to you the rest of the beverage world.
Stewart’s has been making carbonated drinks since opening a root beer stand in 1924. It wasn’t until 1990 that Stewart’s became a available in a bottle. I first experienced Stewart’s at a Cracker Barrel restaurant. They started with just root beer, but now you can get all sorts of flavors with your meal, which is a nice break from the standard fountain drinks you have to choose from. Last week, I needed a drink to go with my lunch, so I picked up a bottle of black cherry soda at Joe’s Produce in Livonia, MI.
This was a very good flavor of soda pop. It was sweet with a good black cherry taste, althought it did taste like candy cherry flavor more than genuine black cherry flavor, which I don’t mind, but my wife really does. It was a lot better than the store brands I have had in the past.
