What Kitchen Tools Does Alton Brown Use on Good Eats?

(Last Updated On: December 11, 2010)

On the website I am not shy about talking about how much I have learned from Alton Brown. One of the most important lessons involve the tools he uses in his kitchen. I have learned how to pick items to use in my kitchen and discovered things I never knew exist. If you are a viewer of the show you might be wonderfully where does he get these gadgets from? He doesn’t name brands during the show. Now he does talk about brands he like in his book “Gear for Your Kitchen”. But you might be looking for a particular item he uses in a show. On this page, you will find a list of some items. I found these items through research and my only growing familiarly with different kitchen items. For each item, I will indicate at least one episode that the item appeared in.

WMF Perfect Plus Pressure Cooker | The Big Chili
I don’t know this exact model or size of the pressure cooker, but I can see from the handle that Alton uses a WMF Perfect Plus Pressure Cookier to make chili.

Zyliss Metal Ice-Cream Scoop | Churn Baby Churn II
Alton uses an ice cream scoop made by Zyliss to scoop out the vanilla, chocolate, and mint chip ice cream he made. This scoop has an ergonomic handle with a head that makes it easy to “cut” into the ice cream.

Zyliss Palm-Held Pizza Slicer | Going Crackers
Another great product from Zyliss is their pizza cutter. I have one myself and I use it for all sorts of things including pizza of course.

KitchenAid Hand Blender, Empire Red | Celery Man
Alton has used different immersion blenders over the course of the show, but I was able to identify this KitchenAid model being used in the episode Celery Man. I love immersion blenders. They are great for pureeing soups to make your own baby food.

KitchenAid Hand Mixer | School of Hard Nogs
Alton Brown once again goes for a KitchenAid product in an episode about egg nog. I can’t tell exactly what model, but the nob on top is what tells me it’s a KitchenAid.
