Welcome to a very special Christmas edition of Costco Food Finds.
As I write this the sun is setting, it’s 67 degrees out, I am wearing shorts, and I see palm trees out the window.
Wait a minute, aren’t I from Michigan?
Well this Christmas we are out in Southern California to be with my wife’s family. So I decided, why not change things up a bit and do my Costco Food Finds post at a different Costco?
My sister in law lives in Garden Grove, California. That is the Costco I visited, not far from Disneyland.
In this special Christmas edition, we will help you get ready for the best day of the year. We’ve got gift ideas, cheese ideas, and a minty chocolate treat to boot. Several items below come with Instant Savings!!! Yeah!
Merry Christmas, let’s get into it.
If you want the lowdown on Christmas Ham or getting picking up the roast “beast” check out the following posts now live!
For Your Holiday Cheese Board
You can’t have any holiday party without cheese. And your in luck as Costco has some great offerings right now.
Kirkland Host & Toast Cheese Flight | $19.99 for 1.8lbs | 1273361
When it comes to cheese who doesn’t want choices? This isn’t your normal cheese set with just boring old cheddar and pepper jack cheeses. No, no, no. This cheese flight contains Monteau Alpine, Cabot Clothbound Cheddar, Red Wine Soaked Goat Cheese, Il Tartufo Percorino Toscana, and a Tuscan Hand-Rubbed Fontina. Your party guests won’t be able to wait to break into these fancy cheeses.
Cello Cheese Cracker Cut Tray | 32oz for $6.89 (normally $10.89) | 278019
If your crowd isn’t the fancy stuff, the Cello Cheese Cracker Cut Tray is a great deal. You get 2 pounds of cheese for $6.89. They come ready to go right on a cracker. The choices aren’t as thrilling as in the cheese flight pack, however Aged Cheddar, French Swiss, Creamy Havarti, and Dutch Gouda are fun for everyone. This tray is usually $10.89 so your saving $4 if you pick it up before Christmas.
Whether these snacks are for your party, or just something for you to munch on while youwrap up your Christmas gifts, I found a few options that will meet your salt snack requirements.
Kirkland Kettle Krinkle Cut Himalayan Salt Potato Chips | 32oz for $4.69 | 938492
This is a great deal on Kettle chips. These are the potato chips I would buy for a holiday gathering. They are ones that everyone should like, sorry I am not a sour cream & chive or BBQ chip fan. The Himalayan Pink salt on top adds to the flavor of these chips over just regular salt.
Off the Eaten Path Hummus Crisps | 19oz for $6.49 | 1286435
Want a healthier option? – try these hummus crisps. They are actually made with chickpeas and are seasoned with rosemary and olive oil. They will make you feel like you went to the Mediterranean for Christmas. Ok, maybe for at least a moment, if you close your eyes! Off the Eaten Path snacks are non-GMO Project verified.
Milton’s Organic Party Pack Crackers | $5.49 (normally $8.49) for 1.5 lbs | 1199970
You’re going to need crackers to go with the cheese you picked out! I love Milton’s Crackers. The organic ones have a lot of surface area to slap a big slice of cheese or some meat as well. You often see these sized crackers as water crackers that taste just like water and nothing more. These are better than those. You get three flavors – Multi-Grain, Himalayan Salt, and Olive Oil & Sea Salt.

For the first time in Costco Food Finds history, we are going to bring up finds that you can’t eat. But don’t worry, they still involve food 🙂
The Food Lab book | $29.99
As you are looking through the big pile of books at Costco, searching for one to give as a gift, the best option I found was The Food Lab book. It’s better than just a regular cookbook filled with recipes as it teaches you how to cook with the science of food. You won’t learn how to just blindly follow a recipe. It’s that whole concept of “if you teach a man to fish…”. It’s not on my bookshelf yet, but I want it to be now.
It’s available on Amazon as well.
Pyrex 3-piece Glass Measuring Set | $9.99 (normally $12.99) | 1050185
I love my Pyrex measuring cups. I use them all the time. What a great deal for 3 of them. It’s always good to have more than one on hand, as I often find when I am cooking I might need more than one or one is in the dishwasher and I need to use a clean one now.
Instant Pot Nova Plus 6qt | $109.99 | 1226685
Last year for Christmas, I received an Instant Pot.
A year later I am very glad I did and have written several blog posts about using it.
I don’t have the Instant Pot Nova. I have the Duo. What’s the difference? I heard the Nova Plus is a Costco exclusive. The only difference I have noticed is that the “screen” looks different and it’s a newer model. Nothing else stood out to me. If want to give an Instant Pot for Christmas this 6 quart one should be the perfect size for most people’s everyday use. I have thought, yes I could use a 8 quart, but I can also easily live without it.

Taylor 3-Piece Thermometer and Timer Set | $14.99 | 1050279
I have said this many times, my probe thermometer is my best friend in the kitchen. It takes away the stress of cooking meat to the proper doneness. In this set, you are basically getting a timer, Instant Read thermometer, and Probe thermometer for the price you can normally buy just the probe for. It’s a great set. I use the Instant Read for when I want to get a quick temp, when I am not roasting something in the oven. And the timer. Why not?
Gotta Have Chocolate
Snack Factory Dark Chocolate Mint Pretzels | 20oz bag for $6.99 | 1242623
It could’nt possibly be a Christmas Costco post without mentioning the wonderful combination that is chocolate and mint. Dip pretzels in this delicious duo and the wonderful ballet of salty and sweet is going on. I have nothing else to say but Merry Christmas to you and yours!!!!!
