What would I do without so of my favorite kitchen gadgets? Over the years I have been collecting tools that will help make jobs quicker in the kitchen. One company that makes a lot of good kitchen gadgets is Oxo. I have a few of their products and haven't had any problems with them. On Amazon's Cyber Monday page I found a sale on Oxo gadgets - Buy 3 and get the 4th tool free! This is a great opportunity to get your money's worth on Christmas gifts. Some of the tools that I would recommend are listed below. This is by no means a list of all the products available.
Oxo Good Grips Fat Separator, 4-Cup
Separating the fattest portions out of your gravy is a way to eat healthier, yet still enjoy a tasty sauce.
Oxo Good Grips Potato Ricer
I would use a potato ricer to prepare potatoes for bread recipes. This would also be good to use on other starchy vegetables like sweet potatoes and squash.
Oxo Good Grips Medium Cookie Scoop
If ever have had a problem when baking cookies and having some cookies underdone and other burned, your best off getting yourself a cookie scoop or disher. It helps you make cookies that are all the same size, so they cook evenly.
Oxo Good Grips Box Grater
I love box grater. Especially ones that have a place for the cheese to go when you grate it, like this one by Oxo. I grate all my own cheeses. I don't like pre-shredded cheese as sometimes I have found bags with mold in it even when additional chemicals that I also don't desire where adds to prevent this from happening. Plus you have more options when buying whole cheeses.
Oxo Good Grips 9-Inch Locking Tongs with Nylon Heads
This is one tool that I use in the kitchen on a daily basis. I like the tongs that have the nylon ends. They are easy to clean.
Oxo Good Grips Smooth Edge Can Opener
I do not use can openers a lot, but when I do use one I want to have a handheld model. Electric can openers are hard to clean, thus making them a prime spot for bacteria to hang out.
Oxo Good Grips 3-Piece Stainless-Steel Mixing Bowl Set
You could never go wrong with a great set of mixing bowls. I like stainless steel because they are easy to clean. I find when I use plastic, it's hard to clean out more greasy/oily ingredients.
