    Jolly Rancher Watermelon Soda

    Jolly Rancher Watermelon

This is part of a series of posts on juices and unique drinks that I have come across. Everyone knows the Pepsis and Cokes of this world and many sites cover the wines and beers, but I am bringing to you the rest of the beverage world

I have never been a fan of those Jolly Rancher hard candies. Whenever I got them on Halloween, you could be sure they would be one of the last things to find still leftover come Christmas. I have had their jelly beans too, although I can stand eating them I would be much happier with the Starburst brand. So when I saw that they had come out with carbonated drinks, I wasn't exactly itching to buy one. This past weekend, I spotted a bottle for 50 cents at a local hardware store. So I thought, well that's pretty cheap, so I guess it's worth a try. Plus I have not reviewed any strictly watermelon soda pop on this website.

2stars This was about as artificial as artificial gets. For not one second did I even remotely think I was getting something with real watermelon flavor. It just tasted like their candy but much weaker in flavor. I was at least expecting something strong in flavor, but I didn't get it. It could barely tell it was suppose to be watermelon. At least it wasn't so bad that I had to dump it down the drain, I finished the bottle. At least it wasn't undrinkable, it just wasn't good.

If you are looking for a drink that has some watermelon flavor, check out this watermelon-strawberry combo.
