    Send the Samuelsons to Camp!

    Published: May 30, 2017 Β· Modified: May 2, 2019 by Eric Samuelson

Hey everyone. Today I am coming to you with a new post with a purpose. We have a need that has come up with my family, so I am starting an e-book fundraiser. The fundraiser to raise money to send my three kids to camp as well as to help with some additional family needs.

    What is the Camp About

My kids are a part of a homeschooling group called Classic Conversations. My wife is one of the tutors. This is a paid position that offsets that cost of my kids going to the group. This group has been a huge asset to their education. They have gained so much wisdom as well as had some fantastic social skill building opportunities.

Every year Classic Conversations host a 3-day practicum at various sites throughout the country (we want to go to the Farmington Hills, Michigan location from Monday, July 10 to Wednesday, July 12. During practicum my wife gets the vital training and support she needs for her tutoring job. While that is going on my kids get to participate in different camps for their age groups. Last my oldest daughter learned how to draw the entire map of Europe. How amazing is that!

    How Much Money Is Needed?

We have to raise $42 a piece ($126 total) for the kids to go. While they are attending their camps, my wife will be getting her training for the tutoring that she does during the school year. There is no cost for her for that part. The spots are filling up fast, so we need to raise the money ASAP.

    My Son's Heart Procedure

My son has been diagnosed with SVT (Supraventricular tachycardia). His heart goes into a fast rhythm for brief periods of time. The doctor's are concerned that this could cause damage to his heart over time. I myself have the same condition that I had treated with a cardiac ablation. My heart was damaged, but now seems to be recovering and healing. The procedure is pretty routine for being a heart procedure. There is a chance that we are going to lose some income from not being able to work while he has is having the procedure and recovering. So any additional money we get from this fundraiser beyond the $126 will be saved up to pay bills.

How We are Raising the Money

As a fundraiser I am offering up two of my e-books at $5 a piece!!!! - Fruits of Their Labor and [Eat Like No One Else] This Spring. We need to sell 26 e-books to cover the cost of the camp. Hoping to sell more to help cover gas to the camp as well as other bills. I thank you for your support.

    To Buy Both Books
If you are interested in buying both of these e-books then click the Buy It Now button for one, close the window and then do the same for the other. Both will be added to your cart.

    Fruits of their Labor
Fruits of Their Labor is my ultimate passion project. It is a behind the scenes look at the hard work it takes to bring the food we buy at the store or market. Take it for granted no more. You will see the passion and determination behind 4 different foods - Cotton Candy grapes, Ojai Pixie Tangerines, Organic Garlic, and Saskatoon Berries.
