    Mother's Day Dessert - Homemade S'mores Pie

    Published: May 11, 2011 Β· Modified: Mar 14, 2018 by Eric Samuelson

This year for Mother's Day, I wanted to come up with a special dessert to cook for my wife. My wife's mom recently had at s'mores pie at a restaurant. This winter, I learned how to make my own homemade marshmallows, thanks Alton Brown. So I decided I want to try to make my own s'mores pie. It's not as hard as it sounds. It's easy to make a graham cracker crust. I though Ganache would make the perfect chocolate filling. So I picked out a Ganache recipe, once again by Alton Brown. Then it's a manner of making the marshallows and spreading them on top of the pie. And if you have a kitchen torch, you can brown the marshmallow right before serving.

To built up my presence at HubPages, I decided to post the recipe over there, so click here for the instructions. Also you can check out my other hubs, by clicking on my profile.

As long as you have the proper tools to do the job: a stand mixer and a candy thermomter. It is these kitchen tools that makes this recipe possible. So I challenge you to give it a try, impress your family and friends.
