This is part of a series of posts on juices and unique drinks that I have come across. Everyone knows the Pepsis and Cokes of this world and many sites cover the wines and beers, but I am bringing to you the rest of the beverage world.
I have been wanting to try the Sprecher line of carbonated drinks for while. I picked out the cream soda at the Produce Station in Ann Arbor, MI. The bee with wearing the chef hat, drinking 4 bottles of cream soda got my attention. The information along the top of the bottle also drew me in. It says "Another throw-back to the standards of yesteryear, our cream soda is honey colored, not colorless or artificially red. Wisconsin honey and vanilla are carefully blended in a gas-fired kettle, creating a delicate caramelization of sugars that results in a fusion of flavor. This unique process produces a rich vanilla flavored soda with hints of honey and caramel and a long-lasting, creamy head." Wow! That is quite a description. How could you not want to try this after reading something like that. So did the drink live up to the hype on the bottle?
Yes, it did! This is the best cream soda I have ever had. It was packed full of flavor with the right amount of carbonation. The use of honey was a nice touch. There was no funny aftertaste at all, just a smooth creamy flavor. The description was right now in saying it has a long-lasting creamy head. The people at Sprecher put forth a lot of effort to make a great product. I am looking forward to sampling some of their other flavors.
