Vermont Sweetwater Rugged Mountain Root Beer

    Published: Dec 20, 2010 Β· Modified: Dec 2, 2019 by Eric Samuelson

Vermont Root Beer A clear root beer? That is the first thing that came to mind when I saw a bottle of Vermont Sweetwater Rugged Mountain Root Beer. The root beer comes in a green colored 12 oz glass bottle. Vermont Sweetwater prides themselves on making all natural beverages. They use pure mountain water and evaporated cane juice in their soda pop. They say that their root beer has a "refreshing taste like Grandpa used to make".

2stars I really wanted to like this drink, but this doesn't taste like a root beer. It's like spicy carbonated water. It doesn't have the true root beer taste. It doesn't have the foamy head that is desired in a root beer. I thought this drink was more like a birch beer than a root beer. It wasn't so bad that I couldn't finish the bottle. I am still willing to give some of their other flavors a chance.

    Where to Buy
Old 52 General Store I got mine through the online business of the Old 52 General Store. They carry the full line of Vermont Sweetwater sodas that includes a maple soda. They also have over 300 other flavors of soda pop. Their physical store is located in Sabin, Minnesota.
