    Waialua Lilikoi Soda

    Published: Apr 2, 2011 Β· Modified: Apr 14, 2021 by Eric Samuelson

Waialua Lilikoi Soda Straight from the islands of Hawaii comes Waialua Soda Works. This company has been producing soda pop since 2003. I heard about them during a trip out to Southern California. I wanted to give their Lilikoi Soda a try. You might be wondering what is Lilikoi? It is a type of passion fruit that you can find in Hawaii. The fruit comes in two colors: yellow and purple. It grows on a plant that produces beautiful flowers. I was really hoping for a taste experience I have never had before. The soda was sweetened with pure cane sugar.

1star Well it was nicely carbonated and it smelled good. And I did have a taste experience I have never had before, nor do I wish to have again. The flavor was pretty mild, but what flavor I could taste, I did not like it at all. I struggle to choke down the entire bottle. Guess I am not a fan of Lilikoi. But if you are, you would probably love this soda. Unfortunately for me, this is one of my least favorite drinks I have ever reviewed for this site.

    Where to Buy
I purchased mine at Powell's Sweet Shoppe in Laguna Niguel, CA. You can find it all over Hawaii, including at Target. Whole Foods Market sells it in Hawaii, California, Nevada, and Arizona.

Old 52 General Store Can't find it in a store near you? You can purchase Waialua sodas online from the Old 52 General Store. They carry over 300 varieties of glass bottled soda. Their physical store is located in Sabin, Minnesota.
