Choosing Ground Beef for Cookouts

Are you planning a cookout with some burgers on the grill this Memorial Day? Let me help you pick your ground beef.

Ground chuck has 20% fat. Great for a juicy burger.

Ground round is 15% fat. It's cheap but can be tough if not cooked right.

Ground sirloin has great flavor and is lean at 10% fat. can be tender if you don't overcook it.

Other ground beef will just be labelled ground beef with a fat ratio.

I love doing a half and half mix of ground beef and ground Italian sausage .

Ground bison is similar to ground bee. It's lean at around 10-15% fat. 

You can get organic ground beef at a lot of stores. It will list how much fat is in it.
