Weiss Fruit Market - Kawkawlin, Michigan

    Published: Aug 24, 2011 Β· Modified: Aug 1, 2021 by Eric Samuelson

While traveling up north this past weekend, I wanted to check out some of the local fruit markets. My favorite was one located in the small little town, just north of Bay City - Kawkwalin. The market is located right on M-13, so it's easy to find. They had a good selection of local produce, including peaches, Gala apples, beans by the box full, apricots, blueberries and more. The prices of the produce were good as well. I also picked up some locally grown popcorn, that was selling for the low price of $.79/lb.

The layout of the store was well done. It was easy to find anything I was looking for and to maneuver through the aisles. The checkout was fast.

The store is open year round. They have citrus shipped to them from warmer climate to enjoy during the winter months.
