Published: Aug 28, 2017 by Eric Samuelson

Amazon Lowers Prices at Whole Foods Market what price changes did Amazon make

On Thursday last week, Amazon announced that the deal was done and Whole Foods was officially there. They promised changes would take place on Monday starting with the reduction of prices on several products (such as bananas, ground beef, salmon, organic apples, eggs, etc.). Monday has come. How has Amazon fulfilled these price drop promises? Is Whole Foods about to kiss their "Whole Paycheck" image goodbye. Let's see take a look.

    Thoughts on Amazon Price Drops

Amazon promised and they followed through. It's a great day if you buy a lot of 365 organic almond milk. Or how about the wild rice in the bulk section going down from $6.69 a pound to $2.49 a pound. That one is nuts! Beef fans rejoice as ribeyes and NY strips drop $5 a down and ground beef is down to $4.99 a pound. Also great if you like apples and bananas. I like what I am seeing.

Amazon says this is only the beginning. If they keep this up without sacrificing quality then Whole Foods is on their way for sure. You may be keeping some of that paycheck of yours now when you shop there. You could use that money to buy things on Amazon πŸ™‚

Thanks. This is useful. Not quite Aldi prices yet (!) but a larger choice of products.
