Air Fryer Skull Mushrooms

Learn how to carve our your mushrooms and air fryer to make cute skulls to use in your Halloween recipes.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz white button mushrooms
  • salt to taste
  • cooking oil for drizzling

Instructions

  • Remove any excess dirt from your mushrooms
  • Use a sharp pairing knife, slice the mushrooms in half.
  • Lay the mushroom with the cut side down. Now carve to holes in the mushrooms for eyes and a triangle for the nose. With your knife cut some slits into the stem. Repeat until you have done all the mushrooms.
  • Place mushrooms in your air fryer. Drizzle with oil and salt to taste. Don't crowd the mushrooms. They shouldn't be touching. You can work in batches if you need to.
  • Cook for 4 minutes at 375 degrees
  • Mushrooms will shrink and become golden brown. They are now ready for recipes or you can just eat them as it. You can store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
