I was heading to the checkout of a Big Lots store, not too long ago, when I spotted out of the corner of my eye a tall bottle with an orange label. Closer inspection was required. What I discovered was a 1 liter bottle of Teddy’s Orange & Cream soda selling for the low price for one dollar. I later learned that Teddy’s is a company out of Everett, Washington. That make several flavors of “premium soda” including root beer, cream soda, and Extreme XDP, which appears to be a Dr. Pepper knock-off.
As with most orange & cream sodas, this one too claims to be just like those old fashioned ice cream bars of years gone by. However this one did not live up to that claim. It was orange, but it didn’t have the creamy taste I expect from an orange & cream. Drop the cream from the name and you have an average orange soda. With the cream in it, you have a 2 star drink. Sorry, Teddy! But if I do spot another one of your flavors at another Big Lots, I give you a second chance.
