Do you have someone on your Christmas, birthday, or anniversary list that would appreciate a gift to make their life in the kitchen easier, more fun, or tastier?
Then you need to keep on reading and see our gift suggestions for this year.
Fissler Pots | ? Shop
A good solid pot is always a great gift. When you give a quality pot it was last for years and be used over and over again. A lot of new kitchen gadgets have come up over the years that got popular and then faded - George Forman grills for example. Pots never go out of style.
For a real quality pot, check out the pots from Fissler. I have the Fissler Original Pro Collection Casserole - 4.9 qt. This a a great pot with a tight fitting metal lid and it's heavy duty, which is better for conducting heat. Any good pot should feel heavy.
Ergo Spout | ? Shop
Do you have a friend or family member that is a Ball jar fanatic? Then the Ergo Spout is a must have gift. You can turn any regular sized jar into a pitcher. Great for pouring water, dressing, syrup and more.
The Ergo Spout Mini is the newest product from Culinesco that I am loving. This cone shaped device has a small hole at the top. It's the best thing I have ever used to evenly distribute butter onto popcorn.
Porter Road Meats | ? Shop
Porter Road is my favorite place to get meat online. Why Porter Road?
- 100% Pasture Raised beef, chicken, and pork
- The meat is sourced from local farms
- They dry age their beef
- They ship most of their meat fresh, not frozen
- You can get things that are harder to find like Pork Back Bacon, Whole Bavette, Picanha, and Teres Major.
For gift giving pick one of their gift boxes. You can pick from one of their curated gift boxes or get a gift card and let your recipient make their own delicious choices.
Burlap & Barrel Spices | ? Shop
Without a shadow of a doubt, Burlap & Barrel are the most fun spice company on the plant. They directly source their spices from those that grow them! Way fresher than anything you would find in the grocery store. Many of their spices you can't find anywhere else.
Here are some of my favorite spices from Burlap & Barrel
- Smoked Pimenton Paprika - Great in bean soup
- Wild Mountain Cumin - Fantastic for Barbacoa tacos
- Zanzibar Peppercorns - Best for Cacio e Pepe
- Fermented White Pepper - Excellent for potato leek soup
- Royal Cinnamon - Awesome in blueberry muffins
Vesta Immersion Circulators | ? Shop
Once you start sous vide cooking you will never go back. I cook most of my meat now via sous vide - steak is the best!. One of the best presents I ever got.
The brand we recommend is Vesta Precision. Head over to the Vesta website and pick out the immersion circulator or vacuum sealer that would be perfect for your recipient. I have the Imersa Elite Sous Vide Immersion Circulator. The design makes it so you need less water, so it comes to temperature faster.

Betty Bossi Potato Ricer | ? Shop
For me, mashed potatoes are a year round staple. Not just something I make at Thanksgiving. For really good, mashed potatoes that are fluffy and never gummy, the best tool for the job is a potato ricer. I have the Betty Bossi Potato Ricer. It's designed to help you remove the peels as well.
