Filbert's has been making soft drinks since 1926 and to this day is still a family run business. They are located in Chicago, Illinois. Their root beer became popular during Prohibition. It was made in barrels, so it's approach that the barrel remains a part of the bottle label design. Today I am going to be reviewing their peach soda pop. This is just one of several fruit flavors that offer, including unique flavors like banana!
This peach had more of a true peach taste. It had a bit of tartness like a true peach would. That being said, the flavor itself was not strong enough. The drink wasn't over carbonated so that isn't the source of the weak flavor. It's not a bad drink, but it doesn't measure up to other peach soda pop I have had. If the flavor was turned up just a notch then this might be one of the best. For now I prefer Nehi peach over this one.
Where to Buy
I got mine through the Old 52 General Store's online store. They carry over 300 flavors of glass bottled soda including Filbert's Black Cherry, Blue Raspberry and Watermelon. Their physical store is located in Sabin, Minnesota.
