Old Orchard Berry Blend 100% Juice

    Old Orchard Berry Blend

This is part of a series of posts on juices and unique drinks that I have come across. Everyone knows the Pepsis and Cokes of this world and many sites cover the wines and beers, but I am bringing to you the rest of the beverage world.

Whenever I am looking for a juice drink, one of the first things to look at is, is it 100% juice?. Secondly, what is types of juices are in it? Most companies like to use apple, pear, or white grape juice as filler or sweeteners for other flavors. The best companies will be able to do so without you telling that those fillers are there. A lot of the Juicy Juice products you can clearly taste those fillers. But I am glad to say that I haven't found that with the Old Orchard line of 100% juices. Old Orchard juices are produced in my home state of Michigan in the small town of Sparta.

For this review, I am looking at their Berry Blend flavor. The juices inside the bottle include (from highest percentage to least): apple, aronia berry, grape, strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, and raspberry. I had never heard of an aronia berry before. It is a berry that is way too sour to be eaten straight up, but it does pack a lot of antioxidants. So I am glad to see it included in this drink.

3stars I liked the juice. It had that mixed berry flavor, without one particulary berry really standing out on it's own, which is good because that is what the name says they were going for. I did tire of it as I evenally made it to the bottom of the bottle over a week's time, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't buy it again. Old Orchard 100% juice can be had for a good price and you can get a coupon on their website: http://www.oldorchardjuice.com/

    Nice to Meet You,

Hi! I'm Eric : Father of 4, living just south of Ann Arbor, MI. I'm a reformed picky eater finding a new way to not conform. Eating what's in season is my jam (I also make it!)
