I currently live on 70+ acres of land, and it is my dream to start a small orchard. I had written down several different types of apples I would like to grow, and that list included Piñata and SweeTango apples. At that time, I had no idea that nobody was allowed to grow these apples but select growers like the ones that are in The Next Big Thing. Now my question is, does anybody have any idea if these trees will EVER be available to the home orchardist???

I hightly doubt it. The cooperative seems to want to hold to those varieties and protect their reputation. I share that same dream with you, I would love to have a small teaching orchard with many different varieties.
