    πŸ›’ Before You Checkout

What you need to know before you checkout at the grocery store or market:

When you are buying ground beef in the store most packages are listed by how much fat they have them. The range is usually between 5% to 20%. I most often choose ground check. It's around 20% and is cheaper than ground sirloin which is less fatty, which also means it's easier to overcook and end up with dry burgers.

For the sausage I put in my burgers, I choose out a package of ground Italian sausage. Did you know that in most grocery store it comes in frozen, they thaw it, and then put a date on it for how long it should last.
