π Before You Checkout
What you need to know before you checkout at the grocery store or market:
When I go shopping for pasta, I always look for pasta made with bronze dies. Most pasta you find in the grocery store was made with Teflon dies. For pasta manufacturers this makes the pasta faster and cheaper to make. But it creates pasta that is very smooth, so the sauce doesn't stick it. When pasta is made the traditional way with bronze dies, the pasta comes out rougher and the sauce will adhere better. It does cost a little more for these pastas, but I believe it's completely worth the cost.
