If you had the opportunity to try Cotton Candy grapes last year, I know you have to be eagerly anticipating the upcoming season. Seems like it's been forever since we last got to enjoy our favorite new grape. It's been teasing us by it's appearance on reruns of Food Network's Chopped. I have some good news for you. The season is coming up. Take a moment. Dance around the room (make sure no one is looking and if they are just say you are getting exciting about grapes, they will understand). Now that you have had your moment of celebration it's time to grab your calendar whether that's a traditional wall calendar or your iPhone and mark down these dates - August 10th to September 20th. This is the estimated availability for Cotton Candy grapes.
If this news wasn't good enough, I got even better news. I heard this directly from the Grapery themselves is that supply has increased significantly from last season. Woo hoo! More grapes to go around and more opportunities to buy them.
As we get closer to the actual date, I will help supply a list of retailers that are expected to have them at one point during the season. I also will have more information on a new program from the Grapery that will deliver grapes to your doorstep overnight! Then you won't have to worry whether or not your favorite grocery store has them.
If you love these grapes as much as I do you need to look out for other grapes from the Grapery. Their witch finger grapes, which if you love a crisp grape you need to try these, are available between July 20th and September 20th. And this season they will have their Flavor Pops series between August 20th and September 15th. These are new grape varieties that don't even have names yet. They will come in clamshell containers with a number code for the variety. You can have the chance to help them come up with the names. How is that for consumer feedback? They are very limited, so if you see them don't wait to snatch them up.
