What you need to know before you checkout at the grocery store or market:
On a tight budget this Thanksgiving? Don't worry if you have the get the cheapest turkey. I have bought the cheapest frozen birds before and the still came out tasty. The key is having a good recipe. I love Alton Brown's Spatchcoked, Dry Brined Turkey recipe.
From personal experience I have not found the more expensive frozen turkeys to be noticeable better than the cheapest ones.
