🛒 Before You Checkout
What you need to know before you checkout at the grocery store or market:
Often people say bigger is better. But I don't find that with citrus. Not all the time but often smaller fruit has more flavor to it. I would say when buying blood oranges don't go for the largest fruit. Go for fruit that feels the heaviest in your hand as that will be the juiciest.
Also as I mentioned skin color isn't all the important. The darker skin usually meas the fruit was exposed to colder temperature and is not a guarantee it will taste better. And some blood oranges don't get much color on their skin. So don't let skin being a determining factor when making a blood orange purchase.
