    🏆 Recommended Electric Griddle

If you don't already have one or you are in the market for a new one, the one I recommend buying is Presto 22-inch Electric Griddle With Removable Handles. It's been great to have in my camper, where space is limited. With the removeable handles I can store it really easily. It doesn't take up any more space than a sheet pan really.

    🍞 French Toast & Pancakes

If you got a crowd to feed in the morning, cooking French toast or pancakes on the griddle is going to be a huge timer saver. That griddle provides you will tons of wide open spaces to cook more and makes it easier to flip your pancake and French toast than a pan with sides.

Be ready to adjust your heat on the pancakes if they are burning before being set. Also note that griddles are known for having hot spots, so you may need to rotate your pancakes around after you flip them to get the most even cooking you can.

    🥔 Hash Browns

Hash browns can easily be made on the griddle as well. You can use frozen shredded potatoes or shred your potatoes yourself! Make sure you have a thin layer of oil on your griddle and get the griddle nice and hot. Dial up your highest setting.

The key to great hash browns is to lay them on the griddle and then let them develop a nice brown crust on the bottom before you start to move them around. Once they're browned, use a large flat spatula to flip the pile over. Be sure your spatula is plastic or silicone so it doesn't scratch up your griddle.

Cook the potatoes until they are tender and browned on both sides.

Bacon that is cooking on electric griddle.

    🥓 Bacon & Sausage

Need to cook a whole package of bacon. You can fit it on the griddle. The best part is the fat will drain off, so your bacon isn't sitting a pool of fat that eventually might splatter all over you.

Sausage will work just as easily on the griddle. You can choose between links or patties. Patties will cook faster and are easier to brown.

    🥚 Eggs

I think scrambled egg do better in a pan but that doesn't mean you can't do some other things with eggs on a griddle.

    Egg in a Hole

This is a kid favorite. Use a small circular or really any shaped cookie cutter and cut a hole out of the bread. Butter both sides of the bread and the piece you cut out.

Make sure your skillet is medium high and spray with cooking spray. Lay the bread down onto the griddle and then crack the egg directly into the center of the bread. Cook until the egg is about half done and bread is toasted. Then flip and cook until desired doneness. The cut-out piece can fry right next to the slice of bread.

    To Fry An Egg

Spray with cooking spray or lightly oil. Get skillet to medium high heat and crack egg right onto the griddle. Cook until the white of the egg has completely become opaque. If you like sunny side up then the egg is done. If you want over easy then carefully flip the egg with a spatula and cook for about 30 seconds on the other side.

    🇬🇧 English Muffins

If you have never tried making your own English muffins this is a great way to make them. To make a round English muffin you will need circle to hold in the batter. I like to use the rings from mason jars. Just make sure you spray them really well before putting on the griddle.

🍖 Ham Steaks or Leftover Ham

Got some leftover ham from Easter, Christmas, or some other big gathering? You can easily heat up a bunch of leftovers for breakfast on the griddle. It beats microwaving!

Or maybe you bought a ham steak in the store and want to cook it that way. I love caramelizing slices of ham.

💡 Tip - You can buy those flat style boneless hams and cut them into "steaks" and cook a bunch on the griddle. It's a lot quicker to do this then reheating a ham up in the oven plus you brown each piece. The griddle will allow you cook a bunch at once. Great for a holiday. If you can't fit them all, just cook what you can and at the end put them all back on the griddle to make sure they are warm. Keep the ham on warm and allow your guests to pick warm pieces off the griddle.
