    πŸ›’ Before You Checkout

What you need to know before you checkout at the grocery store or market:

Whenever you bring chicken home from the store you want to be careful how you store it in the fridge. Place it on the bottom shelf. You always want to keep it away from any fresh fruits or vegetables. The reason is just in case the package gets torn. You don't want raw chicken juice.

If I bring the chicken home from the grocery store in a plastic bag I will keep it in that, just to give it an extra layer of protection.

It's best to cook the chicken within a day or two after bringing home. Any longer I will just freeze it until ready to use.

If you are a fan of dark meat, it's always cheaper than white meat, so if you are looking to save money buy thighs or a whole chicken.
