In episode 017, learn when you should keep potatoes and when they are too bad to use. We talk about some things you need to be looking out for.
🛒 Before You Checkout
What you need to know before you checkout at the grocery store or market:
Normally I don't like buying food that I can fully see, which is why I always avoid those tubs of ground beef. With potatoes it's best for them to be in darkness, so often bags only show you a glimpse of the potato, not the whole thing.
When buying potatoes in bags, examine the potatoes that you can see. Check for any off odors. Gently feel the potatoes through the bag. Do any of them feel too soft? The potatoes should also be dry, there shouldn't be excess moisture.
