    🛒 Before You Checkout

What you need to know before you checkout at the grocery store or market:

Whenever you see corned beef in the store you can buy it whenever you want. It lasts in the fridge for a long time, so you don't need to just buy right before if you are planning to cook it for St. Patrick's Day.

Cabbage lasts in the fridge a long time too. A couple weeks even. You might start seeing some other leaves start to turn yellow but you can always just remove them and usually the inner part is still green.

Cabbage is usually on sale the week of St. Patrick's Day, so it's a great time to get it really cheap. If you don't use it all, you can always wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and you will see get some more time out of it.
