What you need to know before you checkout at the grocery store or market:

Around the holidays I have been able to find the carving style hams at ALDI. Whether they have the ham or not, It's also a great place to pick up ingredients to make a simple, cheap, and yummy ham glaze. Just buy any jam or preserves you like. I like to use blackberry. You need 6 ounces. Then you can mix that with 2 teaspoons of white wine vinegar and 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce. Aldi sells both of these. You can add jalapenos too if you like some heat. This will add a lot of flavor to your ham without having to spend very much.
