    πŸ›’ Before You Checkout

What you need to know before you checkout at the grocery store or market:

Two things to always keep in mind when buying steaks is thickness and marbling. How thick your steak is going to be a huge factor in how long it cooks. I your steak is on the thin side, be prepared to cook it as hot and as fast as you can. Thicker steaks can be browned in a pan and then finished in the oven.

Marbling is all about how much fat is running through the steak. Take a look at the steaks at the store and choose the ones that have the most fat running through them. I am not as much concerned about the fat around the edges, it's the thinner streaks of fat that run through the meat.
