    🐄 Beef

Eye of round roast is one of the cheapest cuts of beef at Costco. If you use a thermometer while cooking so that it's cooked to the perfect temperature it can be a cheaper option to expensive roasts. The key is to go low and slow.

A Chuck Roast is always a cheap option. This is what you use to make the best tasting pot roast. But you could also try cutting the roast up into steaks with a good sharp knife. Doing a sous vide chuck steak is really good as the meat has a lot of flavor and by sous viding you cook it long enough to break down the connective tissue in the meat for a tender steak.

Flank steak brings a lot of flavor to the party for a cheaper price than your Ribeyes or New York strip steaks. It's important to cook it no more than medium, medium rare would be best. And make sure to slice it against the grain for the most tender bite.

The Whole Brisket may be the best value of all. But you will need the room to store it. It's boneless so it's easy to cut it into smaller pieces, you could even split it between a point cut brisket and a flat cut brisket.

The same hot dogs you get at the food court are available to buy and take home yourself. They are a great price for all beef hot dog.

    🐔 Poultry

When it comes to chicken, a whole chicken is going to be your best value as it would be at any store. What you need to try is butterflying the chicken and cooking it on your grill whole or if the weather isn't right use your oven's broiler.

I also love chicken thighs as they are more forgiving when you cook them. Save money and buy bone-in and skin-on thighs. If you don't want the skin it's easier to pull off with your hands and just a little more effort to remove the bone with a knife.

Ground turkey is about $1 different per pound than ground beef. It can get a bad rap but if you cook it well then there is no reason for it to be dry and flavorless. Our family likes to use it as a meat sauce for spaghetti. Season it very well (I love adding some Worcestershire sauce and it's as good as ground beef.

Swift Boneless Pork Loins at Costco

    🐖 Pork

Pork is one of the most affordable meat options. Period! No wonder pulled pork is such a popular option for large get togethers. Costco is a great place to get a Pork Shoulder Butt (pork names are weird!) that is perfect for pulled pork.

You should be cutting your own pork chops. It's so easy to do and you can choose how thick you want them. Do so by getting a boneless pork loin. This is a great first step to "butchering" your own meat at home.

Pork tenderloin is my daughter's favorite pork cut. She doesn't eat a lot of different meat so it was a great discovery that she will eat this. At $3.19 a pound it's a great deal. We like to marinade it for a couple hours and then cook it in our air fryer. The key thing is to monitor the temperature so not to overcook it. The air fryer cooks it faster than the oven does, so it's less likely to dry out.

Don't forget about ham either. You may only regularly buy it for holidays but you can get it year round and it's a good value. The Master Carve ham is 100% usable meat, there isn't waste.

    🐟 Seafood

I fell in love with the Rockfish that Costco offers. It's a versatile type of fish that you can use for some many different recipes. It holds up really well in a fish chowder. It like it better than other types of fish offerings and it's not too expensive.
