    Tomato Sauce and Pizza Recipes

For me a good pizza begins with good tomato sauce. That is why on my pizza page I had to start by talking about tomatoes.

When it comes to tomatoes, I prefer using San Marzano tomatoes to make sauce with. But when I don't have them I been known for adding pumpkin to my tomato sauce to add some sweetness to it, especially when using tomato paste.

Since I am from Michigan, I love to make Detroit style pizza. You can do this by making your pizza in a cake pan and topping it with Brick cheese.
