    Published: Sep 14, 2022 · Modified: Apr 13, 2023 by Eric Samuelson

Hey everyone, before we launch into today's episode, I want to take a moment to thank this week's sponsor, Grapery. They are known for growing grapes with extraordinary flavor. In stores right now look for their grapes that taste just like Cotton Candy, their uniquely shaped Moon Drops grapes, and their fruity Gum Drops grapes.

In episode 020, learn the best way to freeze squash to use in meals down the road. We are focusing on one of the best fall squashes - the Delicata

    🛒 Before You Checkout

What you need to know before you checkout at the grocery store or market:

Keep in mind when buying Delicata squash that you need to examine it well. It's more likely to have a bad spot on it than other hard squashes. I picked one up at a farmer's market before and didn't notice a bad spot on it until after I got it. Luckily the farmer was nice enough to exchange it for me.

If you find a Delicata squash that has a darker yellow or tan colored on it, it's likely the Honey Boat Delicata, which is sweeter.

    Nice to Meet You,

Hi! I'm Eric : Father of 4, living just south of Ann Arbor, MI. I'm a reformed picky eater finding a new way to not conform. Eating what's in season is my jam (I also make it!)
