How to Cook Different Beef Roasts
When life gives you a big hunk of beef, do you know how to cook it? I have been cooking beef roasts for this blog ever since I started it in 2009.
Prime Rib is the the roast most of us think of when we think of the best roasts. Before you cook your prime rib, try wrapping it in cheesecloth and dry age it for a little while in your fridge.
Another top quality roast that I have cooked is a beef tenderloin roast. Filet mignon is cut from these but you can also cook the entire thing or just the center cut as a roast.
On a tight budget? I love taking a cheap roast and make it as good or nearly as good as the expensive roasts. The biggest example of that is How I Cook a Bottom Round Roast. If you use my technique you will enjoy this roast as much as the more expensive ones and you will enjoy having more money in your pocket afterwards.
I consider corned beef to fall into the roast category as well. St. Patrick's Day is a big celebration in our house and we celebrate with either my Instant Pot Corned Beef or my 24 Hour Sous Vide Corned Beef.
