Baking with Fruit
Not only do I love to eat the best in season fruit, I also like to bake with it. I have traveled all over the country looking for the best fruit varieties. I say nothing beats a pie baked with the best fruit available right now (whenever right now is for you!).
Here are some of the fruits I have found in my travels that I have baked with:
- Indian Blood Peaches from Vermont
- Northern Spy Apples from Michigan
- Wild Blueberries from Maine
- Cavendish Strawberries from Wisconsin
- Tart Cherries from Utah
Below you will find all of my recipes. Here are some of the favorites you won't want to miss:
- Peach Pie with Streusel Topping
- Apple Quinoa Crisp
- Tart Cherry Pie
- Blueberry Buckle
- Strawberry Rhubarb Sour Cream Muffins
